Bibione shares with Lignano everything that matters for a garden: sandy soil, salty air, wind, long bright summers and a vast pine wood that defines the landscape. Here too, many houses are lived in mostly in summer.
These are the conditions we work in every day. We choose coastal and Mediterranean plants that tolerate salt and drought, arrange the planting in bands to shelter the more delicate areas and add irrigation where it is needed.
Our Lignano studio is a short distance away: we handle site visits, construction and scheduled maintenance all year round.

The Lignano
studio
Roberto Landello is a garden designer based in Lignano Sabbiadoro. From here we design and build gardens and terraces in Bibione and along the coast, following every project in person: from the first site visit and the choice of plants to construction and maintenance.
Our work starts with plants. Roberto grew up in his family’s nursery in Lignano Sabbiadoro and trained at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza; Luca, our technical lead, combines a background in construction with training in agronomy and arboriculture.
Bibione and Lignano face each other from the two banks of the Tagliamento: the plants and the problems are the same ones we deal with every day. In 2017 our installation “Ciclicità lunare” won the Foglia d’Oro del Lago di Como award at Orticolario, and our projects have been featured in Gardenia, Casa in Fiore and Terrazzi e balconi.
