Home gardens
The garden around a villa or family home: paths, lawn where it makes sense, shaded areas, places to spend time together and borders that change with the seasons.
In Pordenone and its province we design private gardens and terraces made for the Friulian plain: cold winters, hot summers and often gravelly soils that drain quickly. We shape each space around you, choose robust plants and follow every project from our Lignano studio through to construction and maintenance.
Book a site visitThe Pordenone area stretches from the plain to the foot of the Prealps. To the north the soils are gravelly and dry, as in the magredi, the area’s gravel grasslands; to the south they become more fertile and moist. Winters can be cold and summers hot and muggy.
A garden here needs well-adapted plants and a solid structure: trees and hedges for the framework, evergreens for winter, perennials and ornamental grasses for color and movement. Where the soil drains fast, we rely on drought-tolerant species that reduce the need for irrigation.
We follow projects in Pordenone from our studio in Lignano Sabbiadoro, with site visits, our presence on site and scheduled maintenance.
Roberto Landello is a garden designer based in Lignano Sabbiadoro. From here we design and build gardens and terraces in Pordenone and its province as well, following every project in person: from the first site visit and the choice of plants to construction and maintenance.
Our work starts with plants. Roberto grew up in his family’s nursery in Lignano Sabbiadoro and trained at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza; Luca, our technical lead, combines a background in construction with training in agronomy and arboriculture.
Pordenone is less than an hour from our studio: we know the Friulian plain and its plants well. In 2017 our installation “Ciclicità lunare” won the Foglia d’Oro del Lago di Como award at Orticolario, and our projects have been featured in Gardenia, Casa in Fiore and Terrazzi e balconi.

In the center of Pordenone we design terraces and penthouses with custom planters, plants that cope with sun and cold, and privacy screening.
Plantings of perennials, ornamental grasses and shrubs suited to the free-draining soils of the plain: they need less water and less upkeep than a traditional lawn.
Toward the foothills the garden opens onto the mountains. We work with the views and with plants that tie the space to the landscape and can take harsher winters.
What clients ask us most often before starting a project.
Yes, we offer garden design in the city, on the plain and toward the foothills. From our Lignano studio we can easily reach the area for site visits and construction.
Many species love free-draining soil: ornamental grasses, Mediterranean perennials, drought-tolerant shrubs. We also work on the soil itself, improving it where more demanding plants are needed.
Yes. With plants suited to the site, mulching and well-designed irrigation, the garden needs only a few interventions a year and still looks cared for.
Yes, through a landscape consultation: we make the most of what works, resolve the problem areas and propose how to change it, in stages if you prefer.
Yes. We follow construction with site supervision and can set up a scheduled maintenance service.
With a site visit: we look at the space, the soil and the exposure, listen to what you need and take measurements and photos for the preliminary design.
