Town gardens
From courtyards in the historic center to home gardens in Borgo Trento and the residential neighborhoods: green spaces that give the city room to breathe and are lived in all year round.
Verona has a long tradition of gardens, from the historic gardens of the center to the villas of Valpolicella. We design custom gardens and terraces in the city, in the hills and toward Lake Garda, starting from the place and from the way you want to live in it, and we follow every project through to construction.
Book a site visitWithin a few kilometers, the Verona area moves from the Adige plain to the hills of Valpolicella and the shore of Lake Garda. In the city, winters bring fog and damp cold and summers are hot and muggy; toward the lake the climate softens.
A good garden here relies on plants that cope with these contrasts and works on shade for the summer. In the hills the design follows the slopes, often with terracing, and opens up views over the landscape.
We follow projects in Verona with scheduled site visits, our presence on site at the key stages and a long-term maintenance plan.
Roberto Landello is a garden designer with studios in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Monza. We take on garden and terrace projects in Verona and its province as well, organizing the work in stages: site visit, design, our presence on site at the key moments and a long-term maintenance plan.
Our work starts with plants. Roberto grew up in his family’s nursery in Lignano Sabbiadoro and trained at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza; Luca, our technical lead, combines a background in construction with training in agronomy and arboriculture.
Verona lies between our two studios, halfway between Monza and Lignano. In 2017 our installation “Ciclicità lunare” won the Foglia d’Oro del Lago di Como award at Orticolario, and our projects have been featured in Gardenia, Casa in Fiore and Terrazzi e balconi.

Among vineyards and dry-stone walls, the garden is in conversation with the landscape. We work with slopes, views and plants that tie the house to its surroundings.
On Verona’s terraces, potted plants have to cope with hot, muggy summers. Custom planters, shade, screening and automatic irrigation keep them livable even in August.
Closer to Lake Garda the climate turns milder, allowing olive trees, potted citrus and Mediterranean plants that struggle elsewhere.
What clients ask us most often before starting a project.
Yes: in Verona itself, in the Valpolicella hills and toward Lake Garda, where the mild climate allows Mediterranean plants and olive trees.
With well-placed shade, trees and green pergolas, heat-tolerant plants and irrigation adjusted to the season. Material choices help too: lighter, free-draining surfaces keep the space cooler.
Yes. With terracing, low walls and paths we turn a slope into usable spaces, taking care of drainage and views.
We work as garden designers in Verona by organizing the work in stages: site visit, design, our presence on site at the key moments and scheduled maintenance.
Yes, through landscape consulting: we analyze the garden and suggest how to change it, in stages if needed.
With a site visit: we look at the space and its exposure, listen to what you need and take measurements and photos for the preliminary design.
