Gardens
in Lombardy

  • City terraces
  • Villa gardens
  • Lakeside gardens
  • Hillside gardens

From our studio in Monza we work as garden designers across Lombardy: terraces in Milan, villa gardens in Brianza, homes in Bergamo and Brescia, gardens overlooking Lake Como and Lake Garda. Every project starts with a careful reading of the place, and we follow it in person from the first site visit through to maintenance.

The setting

Lombardy runs from the plain around Milan to the hills of Brianza and Franciacorta, from the Pre-Alps to the great lakes. Winters on the plain are cold and foggy, summers increasingly hot and dry; by the lakes the climate softens enough for olive trees, citrus and Mediterranean plants.

That is why every project starts with a site visit: soil, exposure, existing trees, views worth bringing out. On that basis we design paths, shaded areas and mixed borders of perennials and grasses, chosen to look good in every season and to need less water.

We know this territory well: Roberto trained at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza, and in 2017 our installation “Ciclicità lunare” won the Foglia d’Oro del Lago di Como award at Orticolario.

Garden designer in Lombardy

View 1 of the “Modern Renaissance” garden design by Roberto Landello.

Roberto Landello is a garden designer with studios in Monza and Lignano Sabbiadoro. From our Monza studio we design and build gardens and terraces in Milan, in Brianza and throughout Lombardy, following every project in person: from the first site visit and the choice of plants to construction and maintenance.

Our work starts with plants. Roberto grew up in his family’s nursery in Lignano Sabbiadoro and trained at the Scuola Agraria del Parco di Monza; Luca, our technical lead, combines a background in construction with training in agronomy and arboriculture.

From Monza we can easily reach Milan, Brianza, Bergamo and the lakes. In 2017 our installation “Ciclicità lunare” won the Foglia d’Oro del Lago di Como award at Orticolario, and our projects have been featured in Gardenia, Casa in Fiore and Terrazzi e balconi.

What we design

01 Milan and other cities

City terraces

Terraces, penthouses and balconies with custom planters, plants that can take sun and wind at height, privacy screening and automatic irrigation.

03 Como and Garda

Lakeside gardens

The mild lake climate allows plants that struggle elsewhere. We work with slopes, terracing and views over the water.

02 Brianza and the hills

Villa gardens

Gardens around the house with paths, shaded areas, trees and borders of perennials and ornamental grasses that change with the seasons.

04 Franciacorta and the hills

Hillside gardens

Among vineyards and woods the garden is in dialogue with the landscape: views, slopes and plants that tie the space to its surroundings.

Services

Skills

01

Landscape Design

We design green spaces that bring continuity to daily life, creating natural settings where plants, pathways, materials, and proportions come together in a harmonious balance. The project does more than simply organize an outdoor space; it reveals its character and transforms it into a place to be enjoyed.
02

Terrace Design

We work with greenery, shade, privacy, views, and materials to create intimate and welcoming spaces, designed to bring nature even into the most urban settings and transform every outdoor area into an intimate and personal landscape.
03

Garden design

Through shapes, heights, blooms, textures, and seasonal variations, we create plant arrangements that evolve over time without losing their balance. Every botanical choice stems from the interplay of aesthetics, location, and care, so that the greenery can grow naturally, harmoniously, and sustainably.
04

Landscape Consulting

Consulting helps identify new possibilities, address issues, and make the most of what already exists, offering a clear vision of how to transform gardens and terraces into more harmonious, functional spaces that better reflect the way you want to experience them.
05

Project Management and Coordination

We oversee the work on-site by coordinating expertise, timelines, and tasks to ensure that materials, construction details, and plant elements accurately reflect the initial design concept.
06

Scheduled Maintenance

A garden continues to change even after it has been created. That is why ongoing care is an integral part of the project: it supports the growth of the plants, maintains the balance of the space, and allows the garden or terrace to retain its quality, form, and vitality season after season.

What clients ask us most often before starting a project.

As garden designers in Lombardy we work in Milan and Monza, in Brianza, in Bergamo and Brescia and on Lake Como and Lake Garda. Our Monza studio puts most of the region within easy reach.

Yes, through landscape consultancy: we assess the garden, keep what works and propose how to rework it, in stages if you prefer.

The design process goes as far as the construction drawings, with plans and details for the build. On request we also coordinate construction and handle site supervision.

Yes, with a scheduled maintenance service tailored to the plants and to the needs of the space.

With a site visit: we look at the space, listen to what you need and take measurements and photos. That is the basis for the preliminary design.
